An NFL fan is accused of performing ‘voodoo’ on a doll resembling Patrick Mahomes during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Following the Chiefs’ defeat in Super Bowl LIX, which denied them a chance for a historic three-peat, Mahomes, 29, called the loss the “worst thing in the world.” He struggled throughout the game, throwing two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown by Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean. Mahomes was sacked six times, lost a fumble, and completed 21 of 32 pass attempts, including three touchdowns.
In the aftermath of the loss, Mahomes reflected on the disappointment, stating, “Anytime you lose a Super Bowl, it’s the worst thing in the world… it will stick with you the rest of your career.” He expressed that the loss would motivate him to be better, emphasizing that Super Bowls are rare and must be seized.
Meanwhile, some fans suggested that black magic might have contributed to the Chiefs’ poor performance. A viral video showed a woman in Eagles gear seemingly performing witchcraft by stabbing a needle into a voodoo doll dressed in a Mahomes Chiefs jersey. The clip sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some viewers calling her the “Super Bowl Witch” and speculating she was casting negative energy on Mahomes.
