Fetterman ‘fully agrees’ with Trump’s threat to Hamas

Published:

Fetterman has been a strong proponent of Israel in the Senate.

“Free all the hostages or start killing Hamas members again,” Fetterman said. “I fully agree with @POTUS.”

The Pennsylvania senator is referring to a statement the president made earlier in the day in which he suggested that Hamas members will be killed if all the Israeli hostages aren’t released. Israel is currently in a tense standoff with Hamas over how to proceed with a ceasefire.

“Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you,” the president wrote on Truth Social. “Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted! I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say. I have just met with your former Hostages whose lives you have destroyed. This is your last warning!”

Fetterman has frequently broken with progressive Democrats on his pro-Israel messaging. He traveled to Israel in June to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu despite blowback from within his own party.

“I’m not gonna pander to them,” he said of pro-Palestinian protesters.

“I don’t assign to them higher value on my children’s life than I would for any Palestinian children in the middle of this or Israeli children as well,” Fetterman said. “I think the difference is … your anger and your frustration should be directed at Hamas for how they’ve designed this.”

TRACKING WHAT DOGE IS DOING ACROSS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

He recently further expressed his anger at Hamas’s treatment of the hostages, which could explain why he aligns closely with Trump’s ultimatum aimed at the terrorist organization.

“Hamas cowards and rapists starved and kept him underground for over 500 days and murdered his *entire* family. Other hostages were paraded as propaganda and Palestinians cheered for that depravity,” he said about Eli Sharabi. “Where is the collective outrage on college campuses over this?”
