“What is going on with our Courts?” Trump posted on Truth Social. “They are totally OUT OF CONTROL. They seem to hate ‘TRUMP’ so much, that anything goes! We are trying to bring our Country back from the destruction caused by the Democrats and Crooked Joe Biden.”
On Monday, U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani, an appointee of former President Barack Obama in Massachusetts, put a temporary block on Trump’s executive action terminating the CHNV parole program, which granted two-year entry to migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. In his order, Trump gave the migrants until April 24 to self-deport.
Talwani’s ruling found that the Trump administration’s plan to revoke status without an individual review of each migrant was unlawful. She wrote that migrants in the CHNV parole program faced “two unfavorable options: continue following the law and leave the country on their own, or await removal proceedings.”
If Talwani’s ruling is upheld, it would require the administration to conduct 530,000 case-by-case reviews, effectively thwarting the deportations of the affected migrants.
“I won on a Policy of Common Sense, and what Common Sense do we have when we have to have 530,000 trials?” Trump added in his social media post, criticizing Biden for letting the migrants into the country.

The judge’s ruling centers on whether a program created under one president’s authority can be ended by another president using the same discretion the previous one used.
This case is one of many court battles the Trump administration faces as the president seeks to deport millions of illegal immigrants. It may wind up in front of the Supreme Court.
