A large protest outside Fox News‘s Washington, D.C., bureau on Saturday was organized on Bluesky, a left-leaning alternative to X.
The protest, “Media March,” was scheduled to start at noon on Saturday with the tagline, “TRUTH OVER PROPAGANDA.” It was a part of three protests under DESCEND DC, with a protest on the National Mall Friday and one set to be at the Heritage Foundation on Sunday.
Protesters were seen arriving in vans. Chanting and horns were heard from inside the building.
Signs displaying the messages “Fox News ruined my parents,” “Fox lies America dies” were present, as well as others saying “reject fascism,” “deport Muskkk,” and “free Luigi.” Some protesters held up flags in solidarity with transgender people, Ukraine, and Gaza.

In a video reviewed by the Washington Examiner, what appeared to be hundreds of protesters were seen marching in front of the building and chanting, “No justice, no peace!”
Bluesky was launched in February 2023, and gained in popularity among left-leaning activists and politicians during the 2024 campaign cycle. Many critics of President Donald Trump and Elon Musk ditched Musk-owned “free speech platform” X in favor of the new heavily-censored social media platform.

Fox News came under criticism in the wake of the 2020 presidential election after the news outlet was sued for $1.6 billion by Dominion Voting Systems for allegedly publishing election misinformation. They settled for $787.5 million.
The company’s D.C. bureau is located in the Hall of the States Business Center, which they share with NBC and C-SPAN.
