House DOGE subcommittee calls for investigation into attacks on Musk

Published:

Protesters have targeted Tesla showrooms, charging stations, and cars due to Musk’s role in cutting down government spending on the Department of Government Efficiency. Greene has argued that attacks against Musk and his company “must be investigated as domestic terrorism!”

TESLA CARS AND SHOWROOMS ARE BEING TARGETED WITH VIOLENCE AND PROTESTS

“Today, my @DOGECommittee colleagues and I sent a letter to @AGPamBondi and @FBIDirectorKash asking for an investigation into the wave of organized attacks targeting @elonmusk, Tesla, and the @DOGE effort,” Greene posted on X. “Who is behind it? Who is funding it? Is there a link with Democrat-leaning NGOs? We look forward to exposing these terrorists and bringing them to justice!”

The letter says recent attacks, which she says involve “coordinated acts of vandalism, arson, and other acts of violence” targeting Tesla and Musk “seriously threaten public safety.”

One of the more egregious cases Greene cited included a shooting at a Tesla dealership in Portland, Oregon, on March 6 that damaged the building’s windows and several cars but injured no people. A different incident saw a woman spray paint “Nazi” on cars in Colorado.

Greene suggested that groups such as the Democratic Socialists of America, Troublemakers, Rise & Resist, which she says are Democrat-funded, are linked to the attacks. Musk has also pointed blame at these groups.

The Georgia representative is asking Bondi and Patel several questions about the incidents, including who is organizing and carrying out the attacks, if there is a link between nongovernmental organizations and organizers of the attacks, and, if NGOs are linked to the attacks, whether they’re receiving federal funding.

TRACKING WHAT DOGE IS DOING ACROSS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

“The American public deserves transparency and assurance that their tax dollars are not being used to fund domestic political terrorism,” she wrote of the final question.

Reps. Brian Jack (R-GA), Tim Burchett (R-TN), Eric Burlison (R-MO), Michael Cloud (R-TX), William Timmons (R-SC), Brandon Gill (R-TX), and Pat Fallon (R-TX) also signed on to the letter.
