The heartbreaking story of two-year-old Ava Ann Marie Tabor has left her family and community devastated. Born on November 28, 2022, in Texarkana, Texas, Ava was a joyful child, full of life. She loved to dance, help in the kitchen, and had a contagious smile. Her parents, Levi Tabor and Kylie Perez, raised her in De Queen, Arkansas, surrounded by love.
But in early March 2025, that love was shattered. Ava’s life was tragically cut short when 19-year-old Wesley Davis, who was babysitting her in Lockesburg, Arkansas, called for medical help after Ava became unresponsive. Davis was arrested after reportedly confessing to beating her. Despite the efforts of doctors at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Ava passed away on March 4, 2025.
Her mother, Kylie, shared her grief on social media, vowing to fight for justice. She expressed how much she would miss Ava’s daily routines, saying, “You took everything I lived for.” Authorities upgraded Davis’s charge to first-degree murder, and he is now facing serious legal consequences.
In an act of generosity, Ava’s family donated her organs, allowing her life to save others. A funeral service will be held on March 13, 2025. As the family grieves, the community stands with them, seeking justice for Ava.
