Russia Issues Shocking Response After Trump Blames Zelenskyy for ‘Risking WW3’ – TOP News US

Date:

Following a tense meeting on February 28, former U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy clashed over the ongoing conflict with Russia. Trump accused Zelenskyy of being reckless and warned that his actions were pushing the world closer to a major war. He also expressed frustration, claiming that the Ukrainian leader was being disrespectful toward the United States and endangering millions of lives. The meeting heightened tensions between the two leaders, reflecting deeper disagreements over U.S. support for Ukraine.

In response to the confrontation, Russia reacted strongly, with former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev seizing the opportunity to mock Zelenskyy. Medvedev called him an “insolent pig” and supported Trump’s criticism of the Ukrainian leader. Other Russian officials, including Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, commended Trump for handling the situation without aggression and accused Zelenskyy of disrespecting the U.S. Russian state media also capitalized on the moment, with television commentator Vladimir Solovyov announcing plans for a special segment analyzing the dispute.

Despite the backlash, Zelenskyy remained firm in his stance, emphasizing that some discussions should remain private. While the fallout from the meeting continues, international diplomacy efforts are ongoing. British opposition leader Keir Starmer is preparing to meet with Zelenskyy and European leaders to discuss possible pathways to peace in Ukraine, underscoring the continued focus on resolving the conflict.
