Authorities in Santa Fe, New Mexico, have released new details on the deaths of legendary actor Gene Hackman, 95, and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, 63. The couple, married since 1991, were found deceased in their home on Wednesday, along with one of their three dogs.
Hackman was discovered in a mudroom, while Arakawa was in a bathroom near a space heater. No visible signs of trauma or gunshot wounds were found.
Investigators noted an open prescription bottle and scattered pills in the bathroom. The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of death.
