President of NYU College Republicans resigns after ‘inappropriate’ Barron Trump remark – TOP News US

Date:

Kaya Walker, president of the NYU College Republicans, resigned after controversial remarks about Barron Trump in a Vanity Fair interview. Walker described Barron as an “oddity on campus” who “goes to class, he goes home,” while a professor allegedly joked he “doesn’t really belong here.”

Following backlash, the College Republicans of America (CRA) distanced itself from the remarks, calling them inappropriate. Though accusing Vanity Fair of misrepresentation, the CRA reaffirmed support for Donald Trump.

Walker resigned on February 17. CRA President Will Donahue extended an invitation to Barron Trump, calling him the “future of the conservative movement” and encouraging his involvement in shaping the Republican Party’s future.
