The Republican National Committee announced staffing changes designed to usher in the next era of GOP politics. With President Donald Trump in office and Republicans controlling the House and the Senate, the RNC brought on new people to help advance their agenda and vision to “Make America Great Again.”
“After a historic victory in 2024, taking back the White House and securing majorities in both chambers of Congress, Republicans are just getting started delivering on promises made,” said RNC Chair Michael Whatley in a press release.
Whaley touted the new additions as important people who will help usher in a “new golden age” in the country’s history. In doing so, he specifically mentioned President Donald J. Trump’s leadership and the importance of his agenda.
“As America enters the new golden age under President Donald J. Trump’s leadership, I am thrilled to announce our extraordinary RNC team, who will work around the clock to support President Trump’s agenda and elect Republican candidates who will fight to Make America Great Again,” Whatley said.
Among the notable additions who will hold important positions in the RNC are Mike Ambrosini, the new chief of staff, and Rob Secaur, the organization’s new political director.
“Ambrosini brings over a decade of political and operational expertise to the RNC,” noted the press release. “Most recently, he served as the director of the RNC’s State Party Strategies. He also brings unmatched expertise from his days in the Trump White House, Congress, the private sector, and as executive director of the Michigan GOP.”
Secaur, meanwhile, also has ties to Trump, previously serving in the capacity for the 2024 campaign as a deputy director, according to the press release.

“Secaur was a Deputy Political Director for the Trump Campaign in 2024, covering New York, Montana, and California, as well as responsibilities implementing the National Field Program,” noted the release. “Previously, Secaur was a Regional Political Director for the RNC, covering states in the Midwest, including Ohio and Michigan.”
The new changes represent some of the overhaul at the RNC after the successful 2024 presidential election. Previously, Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, served as co-chair with Whatley. Both Whatley and Trump replaced Ronna McDaniel, who headed the RNC from Jan. 2017 until Feb. 2024.
